The R-WASH project is a climate-smart initiative, delivered by UNICEF and UNHCR, and in partnership with KfW and BMZ, benefitting approximately 1 million people across three major refugee and host communities in Ethiopia (Jijiga), Somalia (Dolow) and Sudan (Kassala). The project covers capital investments in water infrastructure, capacity building and environmental and social safeguarding in order to establish new urban water supply systems for the host community and displaced populations of refugees and IDPs.
